Mobile Apps Engineer
Overview
Senior engineering role working on iOS and Android platforms, reporting to the CTO.
Responsibilities:
- Development of our iOS, Android and other mobile platforms. Collaboration with the rest of the engineering team on API and backend platform development
Requirements:
- BS/MS in CS, or MS in engineering with direct industry experience
- Practical object oriented design & development experience
- Experience with configuration management tools and principles
- Experience building and deploying quality iOS apps
- Experience and strong interest in UI development
- Specific experience with Core Audio, universal app development, multitasking design/implementation a plus
- Android development/deployment experience a big plus
Senior Operations Engineer
Overview
Senior operations engineering role reporting to the CTO. Responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining all of Umami's production and development infrastructure and resources.
Responsibilities:
- Day to day monitoring of network, server and application environments
- Isolate server and network issues and rapidly and perform advanced troubleshooting
- Data center management
- Assist in hardware/software purchases
- Able to excel with minimum supervision
Requirements:
- Experience managing servers hosted with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience managing servers and infrastructure in a data center environment
- Deep experience setting up and maintaining a monitoring/notification infrastructure (Zenoss experience a plus)
- Very sharp analytical skills
- Experience with configuration management tools
- Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Python, shell scripting)
- Deep knowledge of IP networking
- Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting complex and critical IT-systems
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Deep experience working in a Linux environment (Ubuntu experience a plus)
